So.. If this is the wrong place, feel free to move it to its rightful place!
So, a player on the Swedish Howrse got one or more of his/her coats rejected because of "copyright issues", and sent a message to the support asking about how it could be that his/her coats were rejected. This is the answer:
"Hej,
Howrse teamet"
I'm posting it at its fullest in swedish so you can translate it yourself if you don't believe what I translate it to is what it actually says
Translation:
"Hi,
We're sorry to inform you that even though a creator of a line art has said it's okay to use their lines for the black pearl, it will not be accepted by those who accepts and rejects coats and landscapes since a coat has to be to 100% created by the person who posts it to the black pearl and they want more variation (so that not there's 14 people who've sent in horses in the exact same pose but there's just a little difference in the coloring)
Because of the number of coats being submitted each month the people who accepts and rejects the coats can not look and investigate if that particular coat is free to use or that that player has the permission to use that particular picture.
All coats that is being sent in with some kind of copy on the internet will be rejected.
Before the rules weren't as tough but it has been chanced when the new creation space was created.
Sincerely
The Howrse Team"
NOT an exact translation, but it's about what it says.
I'm.. worried. How far does these "copies" go. Does this apply to ref-photos as well?
Anyways. I don't get it? On all versions there are threads created by mods where they show us where we can get line arts.. and then it's forbidden to use line arts?! Whaaat? oO'
